Built as part of an activity station at the local Scout regions "Beaveree" this is a small scene designed to amuse the Beavers (5-7 year olds). Most of the camp gear is from the new Indiana Jones: Kingdom of the Crystal Skull set Jungle Duel (7624). Gotta love those new tents!

Nathan Cunningham created a great series of vignettes illustrating the Scout Law. I think my favorite is "A Scout is helpful" shown above.

Bruce Hietbrink (of Vignette Bricks, Classic Castle, etc.) created a wonderfully detailed Scout Camp that was one of the inspirations for me to start BrickScouts.Org. I especially love the super-simple brick-built tents. Perfect for those who don't have any of the canvas tents from the old adventurers sets or the new Indiana Jones movie sets.

City hike

A troop of BrickScouts takes a hike in the city during BrickCon 2007 in Seattle.

BrickScouts.Org, a new web portal dedicated to LEGO-based Scouting went live today.

Created as a place for those who want to combine the love of LEGO brand bricks and the worldwide scouting movement, BrickScouts.Org will include creations and inspirations for builders of scouting-themed MOCs.

Starting with a small amount of content it is hoped that users of the portal will be inspired to build (in more ways than one) a community of Brick Scouts for everyone who loves the outdoors to enjoy.

This news page will be used to note site updates and keep you informed of what's happening in the world of BrickScouts. There is an RSS or ATOM feed available or just visit every once in a while to keep in touch with what is happening.
